Yesterday I recieved a text at precisely 3 in the afternoon telling me to just type in Lost Prophets into google.I was a bit confused seeing as they aren’t a band that I currently follow religiously or anything of the sort. I mean, I really liked their first album and there was the whole ‘lost prophets’ phase where you’d say that you liked them just cause all the other scene kids did.I even think that their poster was one of the first posters that I ever bought and is still up on my wall back home. But I can safely say, I was not expecting what came up, not in a millions years.  The story so far according to every newspaper out there  is that the lead singer, Ian Watkins, has been charged with child sex offences.So far all the information available just states that the singer is being “charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13 and possession of indecent images and extreme animal ponography.” The rest of band  have also responded to this saying that they know about as much as everyone else and are pretty much just as confused as the rest of us, if not more so. I’m currently in a state of “what the hell? .. huh.. what? Say that again..?” I just really wasn’t expecting it, not that its something to expect. If these accusations are actually true then I would be thoroughly devastated both as a fan and just as a human being.I guess we’ll just have to keep following up with the story and see what happens! He’s apparently due for another court hearing on the 31st of December!
